Upcoming movies to be watched in 2022

If you hadn't noticed, movies have had an odd few years. But hopes are now high in 2022, indicating that it will be a good year for fil industries. It's a jam-packed new release schedule, with all of this from heavy-hitter directors to intriguing Indies, action-packed blockbusters, and a whole slate of superhero films to get excited about.

We've compiled a definitive  list of the movies we're most looking forward to, complete with release dates that were accurate on publishing date. As things change, we'll endeavor to keep these updated. Let's forget 2021 and look forward to a fantastic year of film.

Death on the Nile

Kenneth Branagh's COVID-delayed follow-up to 2017's Murder on the Orient Express features another star-studded cast, another unfeasibly extravagant journey, and another murder for celebrity detective Hercule Poirot to solve. This time, the bespectacled Belgian is tasked with apprehending a murderer who struck on a luxury Egyptian cruise.

As Hercule attempts to solve the murder of a newlywed during a luxury honeymoon vacation, Branagh's adaptation of Agatha Christie's iconic crime story, published in 1937, might also have plenty of plot twists against some stunning backdrops. Expect gorgeous costumes, sophisticated accents, stunning cinematography, and Branagh's best performance yet.

Turning Red

Rosalie Chiang plays an angry girl who must negotiate puberty and her metamorphosis into a panda in Pixar's newest film. It's a crazy notion, but it promises that one of the most famous animation studios will return to its roots by going off on wild tangents into the unexpected and bizarre. And, as you can see from the above preview, a Pixar film with Miyazaki inspirations is rather weird.

Morbius

Morbius, from Sony Pictures, is still in the making. It makes no difference if the film has been postponed more than The New Mutants. The idea is that as Morbius, the Living Vampire, Jared Leto will finally have his own superhero/supervillain film! This villain, who first appeared in a pair of quirky The Amazing Spider-Man comic books in the 1970s, is Marvel's favorite type of villain: a nice, sad scientist who has been cursed into a monster because of a well-intentioned experiment. The sort that wants to drink your blood in this situation! We're not sure if people wanted a Morbius film, but vampires are nearly always fun, and it has to be superior to the Venom films, right?

The Northman

For his Viking retribution novel, The Northman, horror maestro Robert Eggers travels to 10th-century Iceland. This is Eggers ' third feature after the startling one-two punch of The Witch and The Lighthouse. Despite this, the filmmaker aims for something broader and more dramatic with a narrative of retribution and incestuous murder rather than a basic chiller. The Northman is inspired by the legends of Amleth, a Scandinavian medieval person who influenced William Shakespeare to create Hamlet.

The Batman

Matt Reeves' star-studded blend of dark heroic film noir and action, easily the most anxiously awaited superhero picture of 2022, severs all links to the DCEU and delivers a complicated narrative set in a novice Caped Crusader's second year on the job.
